Code P7085 My 2000 Jimmy feels like it is stuck in one gear and I read the code and I have a code of P7085 (i believe) Shift solenoid B electrical and I changed both Shift Solenoid A and B and the issues remained the same. Is the issue due to the ignition switch? And is the ignition switch located in the steering column? The instrument panel also started to crazy (after both solenoids were replaced).

It could be the ignition switch
google --www.chevyavalancefanclub.com and there is a statement there from a person relating to checking the switch and wiring for the solenoid
the code p 7085 is correct and does refer to 2-3 solenoid

It's P0785
DTC P0785 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical (4.3L)
Rather then just replacing parts do you know how to do continuity checks on a electrical circuit ? IT could even be the driver inside the VCM - vehicle control module .
The 3-2 shift solenoid (SS) valve assembly is a normally-closed, 3-port, on/off device that controls the 3-2 downshift. The solenoid attaches to the control valve body within the transmission. The solenoid receives ignition voltage through circuit 1020. The vehicle control module (VCM) controls the solenoid by providing a ground path on circuit 687. During a 3-2 downshift, the 2-4 band applies as the 3-4 clutch releases. The VCM varies the timing between the 3-4 clutch release and the 2-4 band apply, depending on the vehicle speed and the throttle position.
When the VCM detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to power in the 3-2 SS valve assembly circuit, then DTC P0785 sets. DTC P0785 is a type A DTC.
You would need to see more codes for the ignition switch to be the problem .

SOURCE: shift solenoid

The solenoid comes out with one screw and one wire connection once the pan is dropped.

SOURCE: What does code P0753 Shift Solenoid mean?

P0753 means your powertrain computer detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to power in the circuit to your transmission's 1-2 shift solenoid. When the code is active, your transmission runs in a fail safe/limp home mode that only lets certain gear ratios function in the transmission.

The solenoid in your application looks like this
1edc2e6.jpg and it is located sometimes on the side of the transmission, but my guess is from the looks of it, it might be found inside the transmission, only accessible with the oil pan removed.
The problem might be the solenoid itself, or the wiring going to the solenoid from the computer that controls the transmission, or the computer itself.

What is the code p1715 on my 2007 mustang V6 4.0 automatic

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P1715 will set when a mechanical failure of the SSB shift solenoid is detected. When the SSB solenoid is stuck off, the symptoms will be incorrect 3rd gear ratio or no 3rd gear. When the SSB solenoid is stuck on, the symptoms will be 1st gear ratio incorrect or no 1st gear. The diagnosis procedure directs to check for other DTCs; if there are no additional DTCs for the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) or other shift solenoids, then to replace with a new solenoid and/or valve body.
