P0350 - Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit Description: Each ignition primary circuit is continuously monitored. The test fails when the powertrain control module (PCM) does not receive a valid ignition diagnostic monitor (IDM) pulse signal from the ignition module (integrated in the PCM). Possible Causes:

• Open or short in the ignition START/RUN circuit
• Open coil driver circuit
• Coil driver circuit short to ground
• Damaged coil
• Coil driver circuit short to VPWR

Diagnostic Aids: Use the 12-volt non-powered test lamp to verify START/RUN voltage at the ignition coil harness connector.

What make , model an year vehicle ? Is it coil on plug ignition system or dis ignition . Did you test for battery voltage at the coil or coils ? Is the powertrain control module controlling the coils ? Does it have a ignition control module ? under coil there is the ignition module . it is the primary circuit to trigger the coil . the coil itself is the secondary circuit . you have to test ignition module first ,,,, remove coil test with led ignition module crank engine see if light is blinking. if yes coil defect ,,,if not module is defect

Internal short in the coil. Replace it.

to test the coil you must use an ohm meter and remove the wire connections from the coil, first test the coil from B+ to the center coil wire tower, read the Resistance on the coil and write it down next test between the positive post and to the negitive post read the Resistance next test the negative side to the center post or tower read the resistance there should be no more than 2000 ohms resistance on any test and if it reads 0 resistance it means it's shorted and needs to be replaced, be sure to set the select lever to it's highest ohms resistance level before testing.
