Hit a bump in road that caused the battery light to come on but it went off again shortly. Few miles down the road car stopped and will not start now. Was told the bump may have caused the fuel shut off switch to activate, and it might need to be reset. Need to know where it is located so I can check this out.
When batt. Light is on then it is the batt. The alternator, any connections between the batt and the starter. Not the fuel cut-off
do a batt check, voltage drop at connections and starter amps draw. You should find your problem.
If you need more help I be glad to
Check/clean battery terminals, at starter and all earth connections first.
Have a look here Chrysler Workshop Manuals

The fuse is No.3 "DR locks" (near steering wheel)
If you take the fuse out the doors will not open itselves.
The root cause of the problem will be a microswitch inside the drivers door?

======FOG LIGHTS ============
1.At first take out the foglight's fuse before you battery is dead. (Fog lights stays "ON" even you leave the car).
2.You must replace the Multifunction control switch =(
Here is the photo of problem:

Fog lights are connected to pin 13,14.
Fog light switch is "B". Because the current is many Amps, contact surfaces are heating up.
After that the contact opening "C" is melting (made of plastic) so the fog light stays "ON".

Change the coil pack if your getting No spark.Or the crankshaft sensor.

It sounds like a sensor is intermittantly loosing the data stream. Since the engine light came on, I would go to a reputable shop and have them check for codes. Many auto parts stores will do this as well and sometimes for free. Can't beet free. If I were to guess I would say something like the camshaft postion sensor is going bad, Or the crankshaft postion sensor, Or something like that. The code will tell which one it is.
Good luck, and if you have any further questions please....ask!
Testimonial: "It was the cam shaft sensor - stuck open -I liked that you were able to give a reason for the suggestons you gave, it wasn't done off the cuff."
