OK I am no expert but I have has this exact same problem......TWICE. I just addressed it again this afternoon by disconnecting the battery. Once reconnected the radio "initialized" and I was able to eject all cd's and use the player again. I can only speculate as to the cause but it could be because at least 3 of the cd's contained MP3's burned from my ITunes library. I will stick to audio cd's and see if it happens again!
I have a 2002 honda accord with the 6 disc cd changer. I beleve the cd changer has jamed and have lost power to the CD player. When I press the CD button it wont recognise the player. Any suggestions
Try turning off the radio and disconnecting the battery for 1 min and then reconnecting the battery. Turn on the radio and see if that reset the radio so you can get your CD out and try cleaning the CD player with a cd player cleaner. Note you have to make sure the radio is off before you disconnect the battery. Good luck and hope this helps
Take another cd and push the stuck one all the way back then try and
eject it. If it doesn't come out right away do the process again this
time when you hit eject take another cd and push down or up on it. Wiggle it around so it catches the rollers in there. Using CDs with homemade labels causes jams when the stickers peel up.
its a very common problem with g35 in dash clarion cd changer head units. a small plastic gear gets worn or brakes and wont eject or change cds. you need a new one, should be covered under your warranty.
I had same problem with a 2005 Envoy in Jan '09. I took it to the ex-GM dealer. He said he'd try. The unit would only play using radio. Mechanic took unit out of dash, and top off of unit. Ejected CD bu moving the eject mechanism. Replaced top and unit. Works and plays cds. Cost $25.00 And i tipped the mechanic $10.00 for his knowledge.
just replaced my 2006 Pontiac G6 GT Monsoon 6 CD changer with an identical model pulled from a totaled car.How do I reprogram it so it works on my car.
