If you don't have the manual then use a saw blade(usual blue colour that cuts metal etc)as gap thickness, always work this way. However this greatly affects performance and pull up speed,so if you're eager about this then look for the right manual.Hope this helps.

SOURCE: need to replace the spark plugs

The top of the engine has a cover remove to see ignition coils. Remove wires then coils, plugs are under coils. This is called coil on plug system. Make sure engine is over night cold before you do this, aluminum heads are easy to pull threads when they are hot. Always replace with OEM plug cheap plugs burn out coils !!!

What’s the spark plug gap for a NKG bkr5egp spark plug in a 2001 Toyota echo

Most modern spark plugs are pre-gapped. As long as you have the correct plugs for that vehicle and you have not changed the gap, you can fit them straight out of the box without setting the gap.

How calibrate a spark plug? i'm owner of toyota echo and i don't know how i can calibrate the spark plug!! i need something to calibrate??

Spark plugs do not need calibration!! Although it may need gapping which requires a gapping tool such as a filler guage!! Check your local autozone for this tool and gapping specs for this vehicle!!

Plug replacement on a 2005 Toyota Echo 4 cyl engine

Hey alanacheson,
The spark plugs are underneath that cover on top of the engine (should say VVTi on the cover).
Just take that cover off, and then you will see the four ignition coils. Take off the four ignition coils (with igniters), and you will see the four relatively long holes underneath, and the spark plugs are at the bottom of those holes. You will need a good spark plug socket (preferably a thin wall socket) and a 6" or 12" extension. This is actually a very easy job, and can be completed in less than an hour.
Hope this helps.
