Are you talking about the color of the gas cans or the color of the gas?

Typically green gas cans are designated for Diesel fuel. Diesel should never be used in a vehicle that requires unleaded gasoline.

A blue container is usually designated for water. If these containers are used to store fuel for small engines than there is a possibility that the fuel is mixed with 2 cycle oil. This "mixed" fuel should also not be used in any automobile.

I need help bad.My fiances 2006 Chevy HHR (4 cyl)is acting up like crazy.First the T/C(traction control) wont go off!! Its always on.I took auto in high school, but im not a mechanic by any means.I think if...

The traction control light will need to be diagnosed using a scan tool. There will be a code stored in the module. Once you know what code is present you will be able to start finding solutions. I assume that the ABS light or the check engine light is not on. If either of these is on it will disable the traction control and illuminate the light.

The brake pulsation sounds like warped rotors. It is pretty common. You said you changed brakes but didn't mention if you had replaced the rotors. Sometimes the rotors can be turned if they are thick enough making them true. If they are not thick enough new rotors will need to be installed. I would recommend having the new rotors turned before installing them.

It is also very important to torque the lug nuts that hold the wheels on when you are finished with the repairs. Failure to do this will almost always result in warped rotors. It is also important to remove any rust buildup from the hub (the part the rotor mount to).

Ambient air sensor location

The air temperature switch that the vehicle's computer uses to calculate for fuel mixture is in the air cleaner housing. I see it having 4 wire on a diesel engine it and the wiring color is different for manual and automatic transmissions, If you tell me if the truck is manual or auto trans and 2WD or 4wd I can tell you the colors of the wires to look for but first see if it accidentally got disconnected. A gasoline engine has a two wire sensor in the intake duct or air filter housing the wires on this two wire sensor are dark blue/dark green and the other wire is dark blue/ light green.
The ambient air temperature switch for temperature control and outside temperature display is located between the drivers headlight area and radiator, the colors of the wires on the sensor are violet/light green and dark blue/dark green again ensure it is plugged in

I overfilled my Jeep Grand Cherokee on my first fill up and now I smell gas every time I fill up. I now stop at the click. I am told it is probably my charcoal filter because I keep smelling gas and the...

The charcoal filter is used to filter fumes from the fuel tank. There is a vent line, that comes from your fuel tank to this filter. (Charcoal canister)

Now since the charcoal filter has been completely soaked with gasoline, it will no longer function as it should. Even with vapors from the fuel tank vent line, the canister only has a working 'life' of so far.
You will smell gasoline in strong amounts until it is replaced.

Can't comment whether it is safe or not. (In my thinking, you are driving around with a charcoal canister, that has a charcoal filter soaked with gasoline. I wouldn't use it this way, but that is just my thoughts)

I need to get the gas out to repair the vehicle

The only way to drain gas from any vehicle is to either syphon it through the refill tap.

Or a slightly more complicated way is to remove the rear seats and gain access to the top of the fuel tank and ulitmately to the fuel pump sender unit. They're usually secured by what looks like a large screw-on lid and may require a special tool, however a flat bladed screwdriver and hammer to gently free it off to unscrew normally does the trick. You'll then find a fuel line and a connector, disconnect the fuel line and using your own similiar size hose connect it in its place and have it running to a container. If you then disconnect the connector to the sender and then using either the car battery or a spare good one, you can supply 12v to the sender, activating the pump. Just simply watch the fuel come out effortlessly and disconnect when finished. A bit more long winded way, but overall easier and saves a sweat!

Check engine Light

P-0300 indicates a "multiple cylinder misfire".
P-0301, 0302, and 0303 indicates misfires on cylinders 1, 2, and 3.

The culprit could be bad gasoline, water in the gas, or dirty injectors. If you had P-0301-02-03-04-05-06, I would recommend plugs. But, in your case, I do believe that your issue IS fuel related.
I would not suspect ignition coils, as you do not have a P-0304 with the other 3 codes recorded. I hope this helps. Please feel free to get back to me if the problem reappears, for additional info.

2002 4cl vue service engine soon light on

I have the exact same problem it took awhile before I figured it out. This car requires the medium octane gasoline .The 87 octane gas causes the engine to run on the lean side and triggers the "service engine soon light".By putting in a higher octane gas (middle range 92 octane) the light won't come on.Or you can get your service mechanic to set a richer gas mix for your car, however you'll lose about 2-3 mpg .
