Fuse to starter motor keeps blowing on 307 1.6 petrol estate 2006

You just don't look at it.

check your wiring! most probably starter motor cable is lose or bridging. if these are correct - check starter motor itself.

fuse do not blow because did not like you - fuse blow because there is fault within installation...

starter motor is weak-doesn't like to be hot-replace your starter or park pointing down hill and you could roll start it-cheers Denny

check the light clusters at the back for anything and everything from corrosion to a damaged or bare cable ,also the feed into the tailgate stop light as the cable gets damaged where it leaves the body in a rubber boot to the tailgate

i have a peugeot 307 number 8 fuse keeps blowing so i have to keep changing the 20 amp fuse please help me i am trying to find out what is causing this

May be you may have a bad starter if it is the starter fuse.

It really sounds like the starter to me..Alot of time i have seen this happen simlpy because heat shield keeping exhaust heat away from starter is off..This would only be the case if your car is set up that way and on that model and make i dont know. Some times starters simply start to fail and this is one of the signs "starter gets hot and car wont start...might try replacing it would be my suggestion....hope this helps and good luck ....Please rate my post.......If you need more help fill free to contact me..

I put my cables on the wrong way and cost me money because I burnt out part of my computer system. I feel you should get some one with experience to look at it.

Sounds like a starter motor problem. Possibly a sticky solenoid. Try rocking the car or giving the starter and solenoid a hard bang with a hammer.
