I HAVE A 2000 LIN CONT. MY CD CHANGER IS IN THE ARM REST AND IT IS STUCK. WHEN I TRY TO PUSH THE RELEASE BOTTON IT WILL NOT RELEASE. PLEASE HELP.
THANK YOU
RON
A coin has fallen down inside the unit. If you unbolt it from the arm rest and turn it upside down, the coin may fallout. I had to take my apart and physical remove the lodged coin.

I believe you need to turn the key to on or push in the clutch pedal
Or brake if auto to release the safety lock.and be able to push the release button on gear lever
Typically, there are a few hidden screws right on the arm rest/grab handle. There may be a few hole plugs that need to be removed to access the screws.
After all of the screws are removed, pull the panel away from the door slightly to release it from the push pins, then lift up slightly and it should come off.
Is car automatic? dont matter, open arm rest and take out every screw u see, dont be scared move foward. pull up on shifter plistic beseil, then to ashtray,2 screws under, coffee thing gotta go.comon guys? can ya get gas in it? its looks like it will brake, just give it a quick ****...
The cd changer is located in the center console, this is the one where you would rest your right arm, open that and chager is in there, if its an aftermarket unit then it may be located inside the truck in a compartment.
Usually if you disconect the battery leave for few minuets and then reconect it it usually spits the cd out as the unit resets itself saves a few 100$ hope yhis works if notbthe mechanisem in the unit has gone you will have to strip the cd player down to get your cd back
You could take the radio out and take it apart, but you would still have an $1800 CD. Suggest forgetting about the CD, and getting an aftermarket installed for much less.
I'm not quite sure, but my expy has a cd changer in it. The changer itself lives in the arm rest storage area (not in the back or the glove box).
first step would be to see if your radio would support a changer, then I suspect you'd have to wire it up.
It happens to me all the time on my 2002. Try cycling the load and unload buttons for the stuck CD location. If that doesn't work try ejecting the CD. When the slot door opens, try putting another CD into the slot and push on the edge of the stuck CD.
