I have a 2003 Ford windstar that keeps shutting off on me. I gave it a tune up, a new alternater and a new battery and its still shutting off. I would take it to auto zone to get it checked out but it shuts off on me while I'm waiting for the light to change. Can u please tell me what's wrong with it.

Be sure the airline to the tank is allowing air to prevent a vacuum.

try replacing the MAP sensor, if you have fuel injection. Your air/fuel mixture is bad.

Are you sure the alternator isnt "over" charging? if not, you may have a "loose" connection somewhere with the cables, or a malfunction in the dash cluster. Also, are you positive the battery is forsure good?

SOURCE: 2002 ford windstar states check charging system

voltage sensing circuit could have a problem, if the sensor is bad that senses the voltage coming from the alternator or battery it will set this warning off, follow the wires from the battery and alternator untill you find what looks like a little module or a clamp around either the negative or positive battery wire or alternator wire. see if the vehicle reacts when the module or sensor is moved around a bit

SOURCE: Ford 2003 Expedition EB. Check Charging System

Its probably the alternator. It will need to be tested on the vehicle with the engine running and the light illuminated. Measure the battery voltage with the engine running. It should be at least 13.5 volts. If it is lower have the alternator tested at a shop with a charging system tester.

Battery light stays on after changing battery, alternater & plugin.

Is the system charging? You should have 14.2 14.6 volts at the battery. The charge light is controlled by the alternator internally. If the charging system is working, you could have a bad diode inside the alternator keeping the light on or a short/grounded circuit to the battery light

With my heat on high...battery light comes on and off lights get dimmer and all the instrument lights light up on dash

Check the battery terminals for tight. Run a voltage test on the alternater for output.

F350 2004 6.0 brand new alternator not charging new batteries , battery light stays on , what could I be missing?

Just cause its a new alternator does mean it should work. I would check the charge when running cause it could just be a bad alternator.

My 2003 ford windstar won't start. When I turn the key it makes a clicking noise

Then your battery should be dead or your starter has gave out, but I would check the battery first. Hope this helps?!

WON'T STAY TURNED OVER

have you checked for a fuel cut off switch? I was rearended last year and had the same issue right afterward and it was b/c the fuel cut off switch had kicked in and I had to 'unclick' it - it was located in the trunk of my crown vic - not sure where it may be in the Winstar - in the back somewhere.
