This might help. Unlock the door with your key, open it,shut it and lock with your key. Wait 20 seconds and unlock the door with your key. My alarm system shut down my ignition one day making it so that I couldn't start the car. My friend a radio tech told me this and it worked.----------------------------------------------------------------------------

SOURCE: No start / start/ anti theft light?

MAY BE YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE KEY, CHECK IF THE KEY HAS A PELLET IN IT, IF SO THE KEY IS BAD AND YOUR DEALER CAN REPLACE IT.
THE PELLET IS A RESISTOR FOR THE ANTITHEFT.

SOURCE: i replaced it and the car will start

Try what we call a hard boot to the pcm. Disconnect the positive cable wire from the battery, enable the anti-thift system and than connect the positve cable back to the battery and see if that works

What's wrong with my 2001ford explorer it won't crank the back windows won't roll up then they did last night it's not cranking as of now and the radio won't play correctly the volume keeps turning up to...

That's why it won't crank , anti-theft system problem . Light flashing faster ! Anti-theft system disables the starter form working . Take it to a qualified repair shop. Anti-theft systems are tough for trained technicians to trouble shoot . Someone who has no clue it's impossible .

How to disconnect anti theft

It is hard to give a definite answer because I don't know which and how many wires were damaged...Anti theft can be a real HEADACHE.....You can begin by disconnecting battery cables..Use your VIN number for parts,Get new ignition with a programmed factory key from dealer only.....They probably blew certain fuses and or relays when this happened...Or maybe not..Install new ignition connect battery cables..,turn switch on just to check for bad fuses and relays...Disconnect battery again...replace any fuses blown...Connect battery again...( Each time you disconnect battery it resets the computer system and should clear anti theft codes..)..make sure all doors are unlocked by using door remote key fob....Now see if vehicle will crank..If all is done correctly it should start...However I don't know how much damage was done.....It may possibly be too much work to totally disengage anti theft....You could start with removing all fuses and relays related to anti theft but disconnect battery before...I DO NOT RECOMMEND trying to disable the theft system.....You may create more headaches that you want.......Begin by trying what I described just to be safe...!!....

1998 sunfire in codep1629, how do I fix it

You may want to do some research on the code. The basic problem is the anti-theft system is not seeing a crank signal and shutting down the fuel pump. It could be the security system, or the crank sensor, or other issues.
If you have auto start or a remote starting system it can cause these problems too.

1998 Chevy 3500 4x4 454. Will crank but will not start. Fuel pump is working and have fire to all plugs

Have a 98 would crank and run for a second.the problem was security.the ignition switch housing and module was faulty and causing the anti theft to shut off the injectors. look at that and your headlamp fuses as well as anti theft is tied to headlamp fuse

Car doesn't crank is it battery, fuses or security tried to crank car din't hear starter but a lot of noises like clicling and sounds from fuil pump i think

Put the key on ACC. Does anti theft light up and stop? If it keep flashing while your cranking then it is the ANTI -THEFT. (by the way the humming noise ifs the fuel pump). If the anti theft doesnt light up during the cranking youll need the ignition module why I say that if it was crank position sensor the fuel pump wouldnt activate. your safe with the ignition module.and if you want it doesnt hurt to replace crank sensor why I say this the year. Its been a while just a suggestion
