Could have a bad map sensor. The Map sensor is located on the throttle body. I have seen countless Jepp that start blowing black smoke when they go bad. That would be a good starting place.

check your transmission fluid, the motor will stall when fluid is low

P0505 means the whole Idle Control system, not only the IAM. Check all related sensors (i.e. crankshaft sensor). Check with a voltmeter direct at the connector of the IAM if you get any signal. Remove the IAM from the TB, connect him, let someone switch your ignition key to ON. The IAM need to drive in/out for a short time to find the right position. Hold the IAM near a hard part, that they cant drive out completely! If IAM works fine, check the fuel pressure, check and clean your TB ( if not done yet). If that doesn't work, come back again please

You should add a rs4 performance chip or the fuel economy chip also made by rs4. there like 70 bucks. If the problem is electrical changing your chip could solve the problem. Even if is doesnt work the chip will make your truck idle more smoothly, have better throttle response, and you will add 3-7 mpg. I bought one for my 1997 jeep grand cherokee straight six, and it felt like i was driving a different truck . It mae that much of a difference...you cant loose!!!Like everyone says , it could be a vac leak or a clogged fuel filter , soetimes bad gas...your problem is a needle in haystack. Try the chip...I hope this helps

do a self test on your Jeep's computer by turning the ignition key off-on,off-on,off-on ( on is when the dash lights are on, off is one click back). The codes will either flash out on your check engine light in pairs, 5-5 is the end of the test. or if you have a digital odometer the codes will display there. Report back with the codes to help identify any problems.

it doesnt alway stall out..it does shake tho when at a light.. i was told to first check my radiator cap because my coolant is also disappearing but there is no leak anywhere and if not the cap then it could be my thermostat cuz it does not warm up quick
