Don't buy! Run away as fast as you can! I just got mine 2.5 months ago with 74,000 miles on it. $5000.00 later it's still running poorly. Transmission had to be rebuilt, all of the seals and gaskets had to be repalced, all coils had to replaced and coil #4 &#5 replaced once more and now coils are going to have to be replaced again. Some problems can only be fixed by a Jag dealer which is 2-3 times more expensive than a regualr mechanic. Researched vehicle AFTER I bought it. 1999-2004 have serious issues with transmissions, electronics and windows.

this code shows fuel rail pressure high. Could be many reasons for this from blocked or failing injectors to pressure regulation.Check all connections to electrical plugs and sockets to ensure no faulty signals. Jaguar stype 2000 v8 engine unsafe mode
It is usally caused when the engine detects that the engine is in an unsafe condition that common sense. But its mostly caused in the v8 jags due to harness problems.Check the mass air flow sensor if u can see some open wires that can short to ground from the raditior brackets.Or the harness located on the front left side of the engine running downward. the harness usally shorts with groung from the topleft side due to improper installations from the mehanics....(kuwait)(Abu Ali)

The front uses struts and the rear use shock assemblies. Who ever told you that, don't let them work on the car. let me know if you need anything else.

2000 stype jaguar runs rough while idiling at stop light. Car sometimes just cut off. Have changed plugs and filter and car is still running rough. It appears that sometimes the gas is not flowing properly...
This fault could be anything from a split or perished vacumn pipe somewhere on the inlet manifold to a mass air flow sensor and i would advise that you ask a local mechanic to have a look for you to see if anything is visable from a quick look at the engine .
