Only idles high when the vehicle is warmed up. doesnt decrease speed below 30mph unless i use the brakes. i replaced the Idle sensor because the vechicle would idle goofy when cold. it would bog down if i started up and drove but when i warmed it up fine. and then two weeks after my check engine light came on and i cant check for the code because its a 95 not a 96 so how do i test it for the code as well. i am going to buy a tps to see if that is the issue if not then i am out of ideas.
Hi. Anon.
It sounds like your IACV, ( Idle Air Control Valve), is bad. I would go to the parts store, if you can drive the vehicle and have them hook a scanner up to your vehicle, ( its free) and pull the codes for you. This will give you a better idea of what is happening with your engine. Hope this helps. Let me know.

there is a rpm magnet that bolt on top of your transmission i had a jeep that done the same thing and repleced that and havent had a problem sinceits located on the left top side of your tranny has one little bolt that holds it in and a wire coming off of it that should fix your problem.

Depending on the system, P0121 is Throttle/pedal position sensor/switch A circuit range/ performance problem.
Did the TPS have slotted mounting holes? If so it may need to be adjusted.
