If you remove plugs and look them over proper burned plug will look coco brown ,not wet not blackish residue , carbon build up around electrode , that's the best I can do not knowing what it is ? high carbon in exhaust pipe ,or dark smoke ,smell of unburned fuel.
I think I would be looking at the crank angle sensor and/or the cam sensors on this vehicle.It seems to me the engine isn't getting the signal to fire up.What happens when you squirt some fuel into the combustion chamber ? If it fires up I would be looking at cleaning the injectors.If it doesn't fire up What's the pressure on the fuel rail. does it have a buy pass pressure valve on the rail.Some suggestions good luck
If it is fuel injected,the fuel pressure regulator is most likely the problem,if it is carbureted the mc solenoid could be the problem,or carburetor needs rebuilding.
you can run this motor carburated if you want by purchasing an after market conversion intake and carburator setup. if you want to leave it fuel injected you will need to swap wiring harnes and everything, computers and sensors you will have to run manual guages for the temp sensors and oil pressure guage and alternator due to your speedo being unable to accept them.
idle air control is used for assisting in fold starts. It sounds like its not functioning propperly. FYI your car is not carberated, its called a throttle body.
This is my own take on your problem, i don't think thats enought pressure from fuel pump, thats pressure you get from throttle body injection. I believe fuel injection should be around 60 psi. Just a few pounds below that it won't run right.
