The whole problem started with a blown top radiator hose. hose blew in parking lot and car was turned off almost instantly.repaired hose filled with coolant water mixture.went to take car home and a half mile down the degas bottle emptied and been fighting that problem scince replaced radiator due trans fluid leaking into radiator.also chaged thermostat just so i knew it was new. when motor reaches tempeture the and allowed to run for awhile some times it will blow water out of the degas bottle not everytime but about half
Blown radiator hose? Might have blown a head gasket right there, which would continually send hot bubbles into the cooling system and degas bottle. If you see bubbles continually,it's a head gasket probably.
Might be the degas cap not releasing at 16 psi or your cooling system has air in it, OR your cooling fan is not actuating. Many things.
Also I have gotten 3 out of 5 bad thermostats from aftermarket stores. Get a Motorcraft thermostat. Did you replace with a NEW radiator?

Hello Ranger Joe, eight months and two radiators is very uncommon. Question, Have you visually confirmed the leak in the radiators or is the leak near the hose connections? Replacing the radiator, cap, water pump, & the thermostat leaves only two others, the hoses and the engine block/heads. Far fitched will be something or somebody poking holes in the radiator.

You may have an air pocket in your system which some times happens. One way to get rid of it is to take the upper hose off on the engine side, fill your system with water until it runs out from your engine block, replace the hose, start your car turn you heater on and set to hi keep the radiator cap loose until the temp start to rise then close tight. Once the air pocket had been remover you can drain some of the water from the radiator using the lower drain plug and add antifreeze.

Hi there. It sounds like you have done the most obvious checks and I can assure you by-passing the heater core will have no effect. There are three possible causes that you need to investigate further and you will need specialist equipment for it - you either have a hair-line crack in the head or cylinder wall or it might be that the head bolts are stretched and therefore weakened and so need replacement. To help you identify these aforementioned possible problems, you might need a specialist fluid that you put into the cooling system which changes colour when combustion chamber pressure enters the cooling system, you need to contact your local Ford Dealer for this - but then you still have the three possible problems to deal with - cracked cylinder wall/s, cracked head or stretched head bolts. Hope this helps, Scottech.

have u bled the cooling system ?warm the car and cut the car off right before the fans come on ,let sit for 30-35 minutes, see if the coolant drops in res. if so repeat process untill coolant stops droping ,then drive car regularly if overheating stops ,but monitor it because it will drop somemore/there has been reports of new and rebuilt water pumps nt having correct propelar mounted on them/ backwards etc. if this helps let me know [email protected]
