Hi James, here's a link on how to replace, you may want to remove then take to Autozone and match up,it has a bunch of different types, plus you get a lifetime warranty, never have to buy again,I use A.Z. parts. You can also look up the part from the site I am sending, join, become member,it's free, then you can use there repair guides like me.

I have a ford escort Zx2 2000 and my water pump is leaking bad I have lost pressure when I hit my gas pedal inorder to replace my gas pump do I have to replace my timing belt as well?

If the water pump is leaking, it needs replacement. Timing belt is replaced at certain mileage intervals . You can have the belt inspected by a garage. The timing belt does not have to be changed to replace the water pump. If a timing belt is changed, then it is standard procedure to change the water pump, since the water pump is removed when replacing the timing belt.

How do i change a water pump on my 1994 honda civic ex coupe 1.6l engine?

Stop leaks rarely works and are often a waste of money. Before going after the water pump, make sure it is that, that is leaking. Many of the smaller engines have the water pump in line with the timing belt, meaning both will need to be changed.

2000 FORD EXPEDITION OVERHEATING....changed thermostat, radiator cap, confirmed fan clutch is working, no radiator leak noted, changing coolant temperature sensor as a type...water pump not leaking or...

yes. the impellor on these engines have a tendency to come off the water pump.First you can see if the pump is working by removing a heater hose then have someone to start the engine. if the water sprays a good, solid stream out then the water pump is good. if the water just barely comes out or not at all then the pump is weak or "bad".

Changed water pump on my 1998 ford ranger now it's

if its leaking out of the vent tube hole,, you got a bad pump, if its leaking around the edges of the pump you didn't use sealer at the gasket and that will need to be addressed,, remove the pump and use gasket sealer then tighten down the gasket ( water pump bolts ) in succession , it keeps the gasket from getting a wave in it,

My 2006 charger 3.5 is leaking coolant but only somtimes is it a sign of water pump malfunction no indications on the gauges but car seems to be running hot

this is most likely the water pump if it is leaking at front of engine, the water pump is under the large timing belt cover and driven by the timing belt, so both are changed at the same time.

Not starting

The opti-spark distributor cap is below the water pump.
Often a leaking water pump will cause a short in the distributor
Due to the amount of time and labor cost to remove the water pump, and that fact that the water pump has to be removed to replace the distributor cap, it is a good idea to replace the distributor cap at the same time the water pump is replaced. The water pump is driven by a pinion shaft with an " O " ring. Be sure to replace the " O " ring too else you may shortly develop an oil leak at that point.
