I got a P0455 code and a possible cause is the Purge Valve Solenoid. The Check Engine Light came on a few months ago and there were no other symptoms until now. The problem may not be related, but i'm presently experiencing the following problem: The car starts fine but after 20-30 minutes of driving the engine stops as if i'm running out of gas. This is what i thought at first, but that wasn't the problem. i've replaced the spark plugs, fuel cap, fuel filter, but the problem persists. If i wait a few minutes I can start the car again, but it keeps stalling while i'm driving it. Please help!

It will not go off by itself,you will need to reset it by connecting to a diagnostic tool.Once cleared if there is any other problem then it will trigger the check engine light again.Hope this helps..

I recommend double checking the 02 sensor ( the one before the Cat) This item is the lead sensor when it comes to the ECU leaning or riching out the vehicle. The rest of the items they supplied you with can pretty easily be verified if you purchase the shop manual and follow its directions. NO SHORT CUTS, especially with the pressure regulator checks.

I wouldn't replace the plugs, just yet. This sounds like the vent solenoid. They are usually around the fuel tank and sometimes located on the charcoal canister, Which I believe is where yours is. Test it with 12 volts it should click. if it doesn't then replace this. On newer cars like yours, when the vent or purge solenoids malfunction, they will pop an 02 code. If the solenoid clicks then check the wires right at the plug . they tend to break there. And the gasket your looking for is the intake manifold gasket. And looking for the solenoid, look under the emissions and EVAP systems.

Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid
Description & Operation
The duty cycle EVAP canister purge solenoid (DCP) regulates the rate of vapor flow from the EVAP canister to the intake manifold. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) operates the solenoid.
During the cold start warm-up period and the hot start time delay, the PCM does not energize the solenoid. When de-energized, no vapors are purged. The PCM de-energizes the solenoid during open loop operation.
The engine enters closed loop operation after it reaches a specified temperature and the time delay ends. During closed loop operation, the PCM cycles (energizes and de-energizes) the solenoid 5 or 10 times per second, depending upon operating conditions. The PCM varies the vapor flow rate by changing solenoid pulse width. Pulse width is the amount of time that the solenoid is energized. The PCM adjusts solenoid pulse width based on engine operating condition.
Removal & Installation
The duty cycle evaporative (EVAP) canister purge solenoid is located in the engine compartment near the brake master cylinder.
