SOURCE: New Mastercylinder/brakes still lose pressure

ITS THE MASTER CYLINDER AGAIN.More than likely they are using a re manufactured master cylinders. Get a new one from MOPAR-(CHRYSLER) that will take care of your problem. Trust me I have had the same problem with a similar vehicle in the past in my shop. Good Luck, thank for using FIX YA

Bleed the master cylinder first. You have to do that before you belled any calipers or wheel cylinder.

SOURCE: brakes

Flexible brake lines are probably balooning out causing pressure not to build up, replace flexible to the calipers.

SOURCE: no brakes after master cyclinder and booster replacment

To bleed the brake system open all the bleeders and let the system gravity bleed for @ 1/2 hour ensuring the master stays full. Then close all bleeders and starting furthest from the master (r/r) have someone pump the brakes 2-3 times, hold the pedal down, then open the bleeder, close the bleeder, and repeat untill there are no air bubbles and the brake fluid is running clear .Repeat for all wheels in this order R/R L/R R/F L/F ensuring master cykinder does not run empty. You cannot pump the pedal with a bleeder open you will be sucking air back into the system. Once you finish all wheels repeat to ensure there is no air remaining in system.

I replaced the brake system on my 2001 chevy suburban, and the master cylinder will not pump any fluid.

it seems like the master cylinder is not pumping any fluid. Here are some possible reasons why this could be happening:

Air in the brake lines: If there is air in the brake lines, it can prevent the master cylinder from pumping fluid. You may need to bleed the brake lines to remove the air. Here is a video that demonstrates how to bleed brakes on a Chevy Suburban.

Master cylinder failure: If the master cylinder is faulty, it may not be able to pump fluid. In this case, you may need to replace the master cylinder. Here is a video that shows how to replace the master cylinder on a Chevy Suburban.

Brake booster failure: If the brake booster is faulty, it can cause the master cylinder to not pump fluid. In this case, you may need to replace the brake booster. Here are brake booster tests: How to Test a Brake Booster: 4 Simple Diagnostic Tests (wikihow.com)

No break pressure when my 1998 ford ranger xlt is on when off I have pressure. Replaced master break cylinder with a new and no leaks at any wheel. Have bled the brakes. Helper pumped brakes 5 times held...

A master cylinder is supposed to be bench bled first to get the air out of the primary and secondary bores in the cylinder if you didn't do this there's air in the cylinder also you may have blown the seals inside it try to bench bleed it if you feel no pressure on the master cylinder plunger after bleeding it the seals are blown and you need another one ////\\\\if you do feel the pressure after bleeding and after installing it and bleeding the lines at all wheels and there is no pedal pressure the brake booster is the problem

I have a 2008 equinox. after driving 20 mins in stop and go traffic, brake pedal becomes hard and can't move the car. Replaced master cyclinder, brake booster and brake pedal sensor. Help

Check the flexible brake lines on the front two wheels. The rubber inside can become swollen which will restrict the release of pressure when you let off the brakes. After a few brake applications, enough pressure will build up to keep the brakes applies to the front two wheels. It will also severely wear the front pads .

1937 ford coupe relpaced booster brake pressure when off/no pressure when started

Try checking with either propane or water mist on all hoses and surfaces where generated vacuum could escape.

Activator rod from Brake pedal to Master cylinder can be adjustable on some models.

I have a 98 chevy malibu i replace the front pads and rotors, i drove the car to test out the brakes and there was no brakes then i bleeded the front brakes and still no brakes then i change the master...

you have to bleed all 4 brakes even if you only replaced the 2 , start with the brake farthest from the master cylinder, and work your way up to the closest one, which in your case would be passenger rear, drivers rear, passenger front, drivers front, make sure as your doing this, that the master cylinder never runs out of fluid, or you have to start all over

Replaced the brake booster how do you adjust for

Possibly the Proportioning valve. its where the lines go after the master. it has a bleeder screw of some sort on it. The pins inside wear out and stick causing uneven pressure. Replace or rebuild it if that be the case. Also chect the master for fluid leaks at the end of the piston where it connects to the booster push rod. If its leaking rebuild or replace it.
