Dodge charger revs up and down when at a traffic light

Sometimes when stopped at a light my engine revs up and down almost stalling out, when revving up my car would go if I wasn't pressing the brake. It has stalled twice and there's definitely an issue. No eng light has been shown. Throttle body, fuel filter??? Any help would be great. Thanks

SOURCE: Engine Won't Idle

Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

2001 Peugot 206 Stalling after revving

whistling sounds and the high rpms to a stall situation could be a loose /broken vacuum pipe possible to the transmission actuator ( automatic)
happening after a bump could be from broken engine mounts , loose ground points, harness connections loose loose battery terminals

2001 Peugeot 206 1.1 Stalling after revving

As the engine light came on there should be a fault code stored in the memory that should provide a clue.

When searching for whistles and other noises listening through a piece of hose can be a helpful way to pinpointing the source.

Idle speed too low

Sounds like you may have an issue with your idle air control or your mass air flow sensor. The IAC can cause a vehicle to stall when up to temperature, especially when warmer outside.I would clean or replace that for starters.

I have a 2002 durango 4.7. I have a hard time starting it hot or cold.when i get it started it idles fine for a few minuts and then rpm drop and wants to stall out,The truck runs great wile driving but...

First off, how new is your battery and how many miles on the D? Dodge vehicles are very sensitive to a failing battery. Have it load tested, and if is the least bit flaky, replace it.

After that, the TPS or throttle postion sensor is your next.

As far as the revving up and down above 3000 rpm goes, that is the PCM protecting the engine from over revving.

.Ok I have a 01

It sounds to me like there is a problem with your Idle Speed Control solenoid/motor. (ISC) These can sometimes fail without turning on the Check Engine light. If the Check Engine light is coming on while you are driving, you should have the computer system checked out first. This will lead you to the proper fix.
