Is there a puddle under the car in the morning? If not it could be leaking into the engine.

I've heard other stories about the coolant leaking then the vehcile needing a head gasket replacement? Ask your mechanic, not just any mechanic will work on these vehicles.

Sounds like a freeze plug, when the motor is warm the metal expands and its seals itself, when it cools over night it leaks..

let them redo the test on a cold motor

Ac repair 2000 land rover discovery

Please check the a/c compressor clutch; it may be not working. FYI the compressor does not run all the time. It is the clutch that will cycle on and off to maintain a/c circuit pressure. To check, put the a/c on high and watch the compressor under the hood to see if it cycles.
