This happened to my 95 Royale while driving around town. I checked the battery terminals and one was slightly loose. After tightening it, no more dying.
If the problem is the fuel pump, its not because someone put regular gas in the tank. The only problem that would cause is the computer would have to turn back the spark timing to keep the engine from knocking. You would check for spark to the plugs and fuel pressure as with any no start issue.
check your fuel pressure... sounds like your fuel pump might be dying (happens to most it seems) or have a clogged filter sock. Pumps are cheap but a pain because you have to lower the tank down. I suggest keeping your tank near E until this clears up in case you have to lower it.
Yes.......I fixed it for now....EFI relay. after putting in a new fuel pump$ 200.00 later and another relay $ 40.00 for next day delivery.I inserted my friends relay into my car....burmmmmmmmm..$ 30.00 and fine... what a Pain.In.The.A..................................................................................
fuel pump bad or fuel pump relay bad. Likely fuel pump.
Spray some starting fluid in air intake and see if it starts. If yes, replace fuel pump in fuel tank. drop tank for access. About a $250 repair at shop. call around.
