Replace the bulbs.
The bulbs will have two seperate elements in it which is why the brake light works.

Take the bulbs out and you will see the seperate elements.

1999 Lincoln town car tail lights are not working at night brake lights work and bulbs are good just changed the lcm and i dont have a the manuel to see what fuse to check can anyone help

You can see fuses in diagram, hope it's large enough to read. The B at bottom right, brown wire carries voltage for tail lamps. At the rear, brown wire is voltage and black wire is ground for tail lamps. You can use test light to check voltage and ground, both. If the other rear lamps work, ground is probably ok. As you can see, the main light switch signals the Lcm. Your owners manual should tell you which fuse is which. owner.ford.com should have your owners manual, it's free to read online. good luck

My driver side brake light went out but the tale light still works bulb is new

Hi Jimmy.

Most every circuit in a car goes through a fuse. if you look in your owners manual for the particular vehicle you drive, you should find a listing for a fuse for brake light or brake lights. The tail light being OK should not have anything to do with the brake light. They'll be different bulbs, or, at worst, different filaments in the same bulb, and on different fuses. The brake and tail lights are distinct because otherwise, if you had your tail lights on at night, no one could tell you were pressing your brakes.

If you were meaning that the bulb for the brake light in the tail cluster is good, that also will point to a blown fuse. Check there first.

Good Luck

Parking lights, tail lights, and dash lights dont work

i assume you have checked all lighting fuses. if you have not, start there. do you have brake lights? if you do have brake and head lights then i would suspect the dimmer/light switch.

Where is located the relay for the tail lights

Under ya hood in the fuse box. There is a relay that will blow when it is shorted out. Look on the inside of the cover and you will see just which one it is.... You can replace it with another one to see if the relay is bad or not......

Interior dash and running lights dont work but my signal and brake lights work else works

Look at fuse #18, a 15 amp fuse, in the fuse block. This fuse powers both the tail lights and instrument cluster lights. Usually both of these light systems are powered by the same fuse so when your cluster isn't lit up you'll know right away that your tail lights aren't working as it's not safe to drive without tail lights. Your brake, turn, and head lamps are powered by different circuits. Hope this helps and good luck!
