Check the ground to the engine, make sure the terminals are clean and tight on the starter and on the battery and have the battery tested.
24 months ago for a rebuilt starter is about the lifetime you could expect.
Did u change the battery cos' it was getting harder to turn the engine?
If the starter gets lazy (often a loss of windings due to varnish degradation) and hence a drop in power when activated. This wears batteries out and eventually the starter will fail. A lazy starter has that labored wuh wuh wuh sound instead of a faster regular sound
If you odnt find bad cables replace the starter.

Changed battery cause it would not hold a charge....with the new battery starter ran ffine and motor eventually started. Will check all the cables again expecially at starter connection. Thanks for your help.

Yes just because you have got a new battery does not mean that it will start your car. you need to have someone jump start you to charge the alternator back up. What is happening is that when you connected the battery to the car the alternator will draw the charge from the battery to the it and drain the battery. Have someone jump start you and drive the car for about 30 minuets to let it charge back up. After that you should be fine

My 1993 Buick Park Avenue just Clicks once when you turn the key on starter won't engage the battery is fine

Sounds like a bad starter or a bad battery cable connection to me. If you are certain that tyour battery is in good condition and fully charged, your battery cables are clean and tight and are making good connection on BOTH ends, replace the starter.

you need a starter. I'm 99% sure. Remember were just guessing here from what you tell us. As a technican I would have to test some stuff to be sure but most likely its the starter.
