2001 pt cruiser codes po 605 and po 700

2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser
WRONG CODE POSTED , LAST DIGIT MISSING!
P040X IS ,, EGR SOME THING.
401, to 406 are all EGR errors.
it means EGR is failing and can be very hard to cure.
ever clean out a EGR exhaust path ,full of carbon, a days labor. or more.


WHAT IS AN OD SENSOR. ???????
OD ON CARS MEANS OVERDRIVE AND P040X HAS ZERO TO DO WITH OD

NOT TOLD ANY SYMPTOMS.
ZERO STORY TOLD AND THERE ALWAYS IS ONE.
engine dead , or stalls or misfires. or lacks power.
transmission problems
or smog test failed, and now ask why.
what engine is here. 2.4L?

i lucky #2 is bad.

can be a few problems if any codes have scanned and start with that if no codes start with checking fuel pressure --egr valve--cat converter --throttle body --etc

code p 0172 refers to system too rich, bank 1====causes ---intake blocked ---EVAP canister purge valve ---fuel pressure ---EGR valve ---injector/s---HO2S ( heated oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
It is entirely different to an oxygen sensor (O2S) which goes after the cat converter

blocked cat converter
problem EVAP not venting the fuel tank properly
run the fault codes

What was the code given..
02 will mostly sensors..
Cat code 420 will need new cat
And evap codes can b a couple different parts..need exact codes to tell what all is needed for fix

po700 is the code for the transmission control module. it is located in the front of the transmission. you can change it yourself

PO-442 EVAP Control System Leak Detected (Small Leak)

You will need to put an EVAP Smoke Machine, on system to find leak

P1407--Should be EGR related.

Most likely need new EGR Valve

The first code, p1684, just states the battery has been dis-connected in the last 50 start cycles.
Code p0401 is the EGR flow. You may need to replace the EGR valve.
Code p1193 is the intake air temperauture ( IAT) sensor. It may also need to be replaced.
Have your mechanic take a look at those, and please let me know how it goes.
