I have an Audi A4 2.5 TDi which has a weird issue. When the car is at a stand still (specially noticed on round abouts) when I need to move whether i hit the accelerator hard or soft the car shrudders, jerks or skips.. i am not sure what to call it. Funny thing is it does this once in a while and sometime couple of times in a day.
Normally if the car is heated for more than 5 minutes in the morning it is very rare it will do this.
I have shown to Audi and other garages but no one can figure out the problem.
Please help...
Since the experts have failed, try this:
Have someone inside the car, tranny in park or neutral if manual, parking brake on; you are going to stand in front of it.
- Hood open
- Have helper jab the accelerator and watch the engine closely; have them do it more than once but let the engine idle down each time.
If the movment seems excessive, check the motor mounts. Should be three altogether.
If one of these is torn, it will **** linkage for fuel and drive axles causing all manner of strange effects and movements.
I confess, it shouldn't have anything to do with warmup but tha can also be coincidence or a combination of intermittant problems.
