My 2004 PTCruiser Door lights up on the dash and all the doors are shut. Why is my light staying on and where is the fuse panel located so I can remove the fuse for the

Dear Amy,
Having the light stay on indicating a door or your trunk lid is open when it is not, may mean you have a defective door switch or a defective ground to one of those doors or trunk lid.
Your owners manual might tell you what each fuse its for, or call a Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth dealer and ask them.
Understand that if you find the proper fuse, and remove it, it is possible that a few or many other things may no longer work, as sometimes the circuits are tied together or connected.
God bless your efforts.

Trunk closer not working

I would first check the fuse panel and make sure you don't have a blown fuse. If that doesn't fix it then I would clean the contacts on the sensor in the latch. Now as a last resort if neither of the previous works I would go to a salvage yard and buy a replacement latch assembly. If in the unlikely event it still doesn't work then you are dealing with a wiring issue and you should take it to a mechanic to troubleshoot.

You blew a bunch of fuses......make sure wires are not shorted anymore, then replace fuses and you should be fixed right up.

1997 328i door lock problem

Hi, this sounds like the door barrel may have broken, to check it with the door open you will see a rubber sealing bung about 4 inches above the door catch, if you remove this you will see a 4mm hex bolt inside the door undo this and you should then be able to remove the barrel , this would not be a fuse or an actuator as the system works from the trunk and this works from the same system, hope this is of some help, regards mark.

No power to the mirrors, driver seat, door lock ,power antenna

some relays are in the fuse panel and some are under the hood in a box.

Relays are used when high current is involved. seats and windows use relays as well as fuses. Your owner manual should say where the underhood relays are. Or call your dealer service department.

Dome/ Trunk Lights don't work

The dome light problem is likely that the crappy switches that get pushed in when the door closes don't make contact when opened. You can find them at the lower right corner of the door sill. (Driver's side door. Same relative position on the other doors.) Take a phillips screwdriver and remove them, AFTER removing the correct fuse. Spray the inside of the switches with contact cleaner. Grab the black nub of the switch and twist it while holding the switch body still.

The trunk has a weird setup. the switch contact is where the trunk latch is. When the trunk is closed, the simple spring switch is held open so the light turns off. When trunk is open, the switch closes and the bulb lights. Hope this helps.
