This was happening to me on my 2013 Corolla, but then I realized that I had the blower set to one of the heating settings. Once I moved that to a non-heating setting, then the recirculate light stayed on when I pressed it. Hate to see somebody get a new part when it's unnecessary.

SOURCE: 1998 Toy Corolla Air Bag Light keeps flashing

take it to another dealer, in most cases its just a poor connection, poor contact in one of the pin connectors, air bag wiring is very sensative, one poor pin connection does not allways mean that the harness needs to be replaced, it sounds like they dont want to take the time to pinpoint the problem.

SOURCE: 2005 Toyota Corolla air conditioner is cold but

The air flow does not 'increase' with the recirc button pressed. The fan motor blows at specific speeds, no matter whether fresh or recirc is selected. The recirc feature is there so that you do NOT admit 'fresh/hot' air from the outside into the AC box. In short, the recirc feature is to re-use, or, recirculate the existing air in the car. When it is properly working, on a hot day, the recirc selection should drop the internal temperature at the center air vent about 6 degrees lower than with the fresh selected.

Check the site glass for the AC refrigerant. If there are many big bubbles, you are low on refridgerant which could also mean there's a leak in the system

The air conditioner will not turn off on my 2006 Kia Sedona EX. Air blows cold, but no matter where you set the control knobs for A/C system or fan controls, air continues to flow at a constant rate, even...

If yu didn't already try, make sure your setting is not on defrost or defrost floor. This car automatically puts the setting on ac and recirculation. Turn it he setting off defrost and try again
tip

Climate control settings,on all vehicles

When using the ac on a hot summer day,or a mild spring day,the compressor runs all the time.If you set it to low,and turn the temp to cold or toward the warmer side, lets say cool, then the ac compressor runs also,it just cycles,on,and off.No matter what setting you are using on your ac control, the ac compressor stays on,using fuel.Get the most out of your ac,while it uses your fuel,to keep you comfortable. All vehicles have a MAX setting,or a recirculate setting.Always use this setting.I say, always use this setting, not only that, but use this setting.I stress this because you are pulling in air ,from the out side, that is warming the evaporator, and making the ac work harder to give you comfort. In the hot ,hot summer, the settings MAX,and recirculate, keep the air that is in the vehicle,in the vehicle. It recirculates the air, instead of bringing hot air inside the vehicle ,and bringing the temp,up,to a warmer temp.A lot of people don`t even know that this is on the control,or don`t know what it is for. Some times the recirculate button,or dial, will have a picture that looks like a C,but squared off at the corners. So folks, get more out of your vehicles cooling and heat system.Yes ,this will work on heat also, maybe not defrost, but on some cars,it will work.

The ac button does not stay on. Is there a quick fix?

Check the button to the right that shows the air circulating in from the outside, or recirculating the air already in the car. On mine, it wont work if you dont have it on the recirculating one....Good Luck!

When i press the ac button it blinks three times but does not turn on. 2007 Tahoe LT

If the vehicle is equipt with an ambient air temperature display, the sensor also prevents the AC clutch from engaging if the outside air is below as certain tempreture. To test, turn the AC on. Press and hold the AC button at the same time as you press and hold the recirculate button. Hold for 5 to 8 seconds. If this is the cause of the issue, the AC will kick on and you will hear the compressor clutch engage. This should also reset the sensor and correct the issue.

Air conditioning switch goes off and on while recirculating air

If I understand correctly the A/C light goes on and off. If so, try to gently push the switch to the side(Not in) while the A/C is on. If this keeps the system working, you need a new control assy(Complete control head)

Toyota Avalon 1998 A/C Push Button

If when button is pushed in it stays in the AC-light lights up, then you may have another problem like a leak in the system N0/low Freon in system and AC would n't work. But if the switch doesn' t stay push in when its pushed then the switch is BAd and needs to be replace and that will solve the problem. If the switch stays push in with NO AC light on then you may have a bad Ac fuse. Good luck and thanks for using Fix Ya
