The light comes on when the car has detected a need for service or a problem. This could be anything from a dirty airfilter or oil change to severe problems. The car is equipped with sensors that detecft abnormal changes as well as maintenance periods and will produce OBD codes that will tell what has occured. So you need to go to your dealer or indy service and get them to read the codes and the either reet the code or do the maintenannce or repair. You can buy a code reader for $50_$100 that will read the codes and may be able to clear minor codes. Serious codes will require a higher end reader that start at abaout $500 and go way up to about the $30K a dealer spends on one. Go get the codes read maybe your baby just needs a oil change.. :
