1998 chevy blazer 4x4 engine will not start no sound at all

will work might have a few sensors with different plugs but shouldnt be to bad

Could be your distributor cap/rotor and maybe spark plug wires. Does the engine turn over at all?

sounds like a faulty alarm immoblizer ,,,, .. if its a after fit system , disconect it and shoot it !!!

Remove fuse #15, 10A and see if 4x4 disengages. Your truck has a Transfer Case Control Module that may be what's behind the kick panel. As for the horn and fans not working I can't see a direct electrical connection between them.

try an engine flush ,and new oil , if the engine still sounds the same , it sounds like your oil pump isnt working and will need replaced straight away which sad to say problely wont be cheap

hi everything is easy if you know what you are doing and have the right equipment so have you got lifting gear have you got a good selection of tools and will need a little help getting the engine in and out otherwise you will struggle and you need to be inside with plenty of space good luck, yates210456

I would check the basic things first. Battery Terminals, the Battery itself, gas in the tank, then the probable cause a faulty fuel pump. A quick check of this is to take the air horn t-nut off the 3 inch t handle screw which holds it and spray starting fluid in the throttle body. Do not open the throttle body like an old careburator just spray it in their, put the air horn back on and if it starts it's a probable fuel pump. You can also try to turn on the key three times but do not start it those three times just see if the fuel pump sounds like it's working. On the third try turn the key fully on and if it starts it's a probable fuel pump. If so Google under 100 dot com and they have blazer fuel pumps for 60 or 70 dollars. A fuel pump from an auto parts store will cost you from 250 to 300 dollars. I wish you the best of luck becuase I have replaced four fuel pumps in my own blazer. Good Luck!!!

if it turns over there are a cocuple of things to check. crankshaft sensor and the coil pack maybe the computer.id start with the crankshaft sensor
