I HAVE A 98 K1500 CHEVY PICKUP I HAVE NO POWER TO BLOWER MOTOR I CHECKED THE HOT WIRE NOTHING BUT FUSE CHECKS OK I REPLACED BLOWER RESISTER COULD THIS BE THE CONTROL SWITCH AND IF SO HOW DO YOU REPLAE IT help replacing blower motor resister
Do have any power on either wire going to the blower. the power runs from the fuse block through a relay, to the blower, to the resistor block and finally to the dash control. of you have power only on one side of the blower replace the blower. if you have no power at the blower replace the relay.
Hope this helps.
Mike
SOURCE: blower control switch
I had this same problem and it turned out to be a simple fix,my problem was the hot wire contact on the blower itself.Fix was cleaning the contact w/sandpaper and replacing the part on the hot wire that connects to it.
