Can not set the clock on my 2005 grand cherokee limited

I can not set the clock on the am/fm with navigation and 6 disc cd/mp3 radio. The one in the owners manual is for a standard radio. It does show a picture of the one that is in my jeep, but no directions on how to set the clock for that model.

I just bought a used Limited with Nav and I can't reset the clock. The dealer has ordered a Nav disc for me since the original was missing. Do I need the disc to resest the clock becasue it is on the "Nav" main menu?

Go into your navigation system and scroll down to clock setting. It will give you the option to change your clock and set up a few other options.

SOURCE: Eject navigation disk in 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Under the cd slot you will see a long thin rectangle that can be gently pryed out with a knife tip on the right side of the rectangle. under that cover there is a small button. push that and out comes the nav disc. Voila solved

How do I set the time in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with navigation

the nav (rec) head is too complex to stuff into the , cars users guide, have paper too, in my jeep, "no phy. time button , for sure"
so JEEP has a manual only for this one head.
85 pages.
solved.
get it and keep if for next time lost in the guts of NAV
the DVD_Rom slot 7 is not optional,. NAV DISC.!
nor is working GPS. and is the default.
for driving maps live all that is needed.
next time post a photo of your head like this.

see this ,see "REC"
bingo. if not bingo say it/?

Fuse diagram for 1999 jeep grand cherokee limited

franky, im amazed at any CD still working this old and full of dirt.
amazing.........

RTM, (the operators guide even covers fuses, lost that :?)
see link below for the FREE BOOK.
posted 100;' of times how to do this, how to see real books.

99' Jeep first WJ year.
i click wiring audio
i click, your audio system (there are many options) CD premium.
fuse 30 (JB) runs the head.
if the radio works? then fuse 30 is not blown. so end path..
the CD is page 47-6
and the CD gets power from head end radio.
so it has power.!
and the Eject function is dead.
my guess(wild) is it's jammed and has a CD label or remains of a broke CD inside or is at END of life, as all do this old.

for sure costing more to fix then to UPGRADE

http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

FYI----IMO::::
i'd buy a new media center and now have USB flash sticks full of music, CDs are mostly dead now. an IDEA that is ending now.
you can rip all your CD's to a mp3 file for free and is legal.
(not movies) just audio.
and they all fit on one USB stick size of Chicklet candy.

or remove CD unit
bench test it (add power to it)
remove cover, clean it?
check why its jamming, lots of labor here, and if not you, huge costs.

walmart has a radio with USB ports for $99 ,and a $15 adapter for jeeps.

time to up grade
or go broke fixing old system.
retire it.
get a media head, and use USB flash mem stick.
DISCs are dead tech, (rip yours to MP3 and move on,, really)
or WAV if you are super HD audiofile.

How do I remove the radio on a 2005 grand cherokee?

If its not responding at all, you will have to remove the unit and take it apart until you can remove the disc's by hand. You can either put it back together and just use the radio or replace it with oem or aftermarket deck.

Removal of dash and factory stereo

This is an easy fix. Use a flat head screwdriver andpry out the center stack where the heating and air controls are. this will just pop out. From there there are a few screws to to remove to get the cover off around the stereo.
