The back of my seat will not sit up properly. The bench slides forward & backward manually, but there is no manual lever for the backrest to move. Appears to have a small electric switch at front left corner of seat, which does nothing. We thought all the fuses are good, but this still doesn't change. Since then I also realized the lighter doesn't work either. I've had to start using a backrest just to be able to drive, but that is hurting my back. I just want my seat to work!

Check the fuse. The fuse box is located on the passengers side at the side of the dashboard. Also check the fuses that are located under the hood. The location for fuses are in your car manual.
