The computer Code of P0132 has come on

I understand that this code represents an emission problem, most likely a oxygen senor failure. Is there any way to determine in which bank this sensor is located?

Okay, good, that makes it a bit easier. That code refers to sensor B1S1 or Bank 1, Sensor 1. Bank 1 refers to the side of the motor that has cylinder #1. Since you have an in-line six cylinder, that part is easy since there's only one side. Sensor 1 refers to the sensor before the catalytic converter. Since you have only one bank, and one exhaust pipe, that means its the O2 sensor before the catalytic converter.

You only have two O2 sensors, one before and one after the catalytic converter. Check the wiring and connector on the sensor before the catalytic converter and if all seems good there, then replace the sensor itself and see if that does the trick.

PO133 oxygen sensor & PO722 emissions codes

You have both oxygen sensor codes
as well as transaxle

Google the codes

OBD2 code PO 722 & read up

I would not be using any vehicle with trans codes
unless you care to spend thousands when it quits

It's a 2001 3.9L V6 the code is P 0132

Hi there:
DTC P0132 - O2 Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank1, Sensor1)
This involves the front oxygen sensor on Bank 1. This code indicates that the heated oxygen sensor reading is too high. In the case of Ford vehicles, that indicates the voltage at the sensor is over 1.5 volts. Other vehicles may be similar. You will likely not notice any drivability problems.

A code P0132 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The oxygen sensor heater circuit is shorted out
The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed (less likely)

Possible Solutions: the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.

If the code comes back, the problem is more than likely the front Bank 1 oxygen sensor. You will likely wind up replacing it but you should also consider these possible solutions:
Check for wiring problems (shorted, frayed wires)
Check the voltage of the oxygen sensor
Replace O2 sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1 is located on the driver's side)

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
