My car battery died so I had to have a new one installed. Now my car stereo won't work. It turns on and shows a display, but no channels work and there is no sound...not even fuzz. There is no prompt to add a code or anything. Please help!
Unfortunately in newer vehicles, they sometimes need to have the computer re-flashed IF you unhook the battery with the radio on. It's a crummy deal. The dealership will probably have to re-flash the computer. You could try turning the stereo off, then disconnect the cables on the battery for a minute, then re-connect and POSSIBLY it could reset the system and it may work again. Don't get your hopes up, this may not fix it.

I had the same problem. Dealer will fix but they want ridiculous amount. Call Mitsubishi customer service. They will need info: Serial number and model number of the radio. The numbers are on the side or back of the radio (Easy removal-just need a screwdriver). Also they ask for proof of ownership Fax it over to them, then call back for the code. Its easy and its cheap.

Contact your local Dealership and ask for Parts. They have all the Codes and can tell you by Running your VIN Number.

The radio isn't even giving me an option to add a code. Called the dealership and they claimed they didn't know anything about it and made me make an appointment! Money!
