My caliber 2009 is flashing with red light it looks like spark in dash board and car wont go on

Throttle position sensor is not providing good data. Broken wire or TPS sensor or gas pedal interface out of whack. Take / tow to dealer.

I have a 2009 Caliber. Lately as I excelarate, this light on the dash that has two lines and looks like lightening bolt comes on and causes the car to not excelarate as it should. The car drives
less than 2 miles an hour when this happens. Even if I push the paddle to the floor, it still rides
very slow. What does this light mean? Please advise.

THAT LIGHT MEANS U ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH YOUR THROTTLE BY WIRE SYSTEM. U REALLY NEED TO GET IT TO A MECHANIC ASAP. WOULDNT WANT A SIMILAR INCIDENT LIKE TOYOTA HAD. HOPE I HELPEDU

That is probably a water temp warning light,or oil pressure waring light

Do the 4 way flashers flash the lights?If they do flash it may be the signal light switch or power to it.

Sounds like a stuck relay.

You would need to have someone scan the body computer to check for codes. Most code readers will not access body computers.
The cruise would stop working if the ABS light came on for safety reasons.

look for large wiring loom under steering column that is patch harness going to immobiliser module,
two black large connectors that look the same disconnect and isolate connect original loom connector from top to bottom body harness original connector and presto no more immobiliser its bypassed vehicle now works.

Flashing red circle light in the centre of the dash cluster. No mention of this light in the ford manual. What is it?

Hi:
The only red warning light that is in the center of the dash is either the brake warning light or possibly the low tire pressure light?
