1991 Chevy Lumina euro will not shift out of first gear until it warms up. Then it shift fine.

Try have the automatic transmission flushed and new fluid installed.

Try getting your transmission solenoid replaced. After I got mine replaced it ran fine after that. That's the exact same thing my Lumina was doing.

Back firing is usually an indication of a timing issue

The timing chain is most likely worn & jumped a couple
of teeth or the distributor was installed wrong,if you recently
had work done

When i start the car it runs like its going down the highway until it warm up and when i push gas pedal it spits &sputters

sounds like you have a vacum hose is off,

Hesitation , skipping,engine cuts out when accelerating

Im having the same issue I believe. I have a 94\' Chevy 1500 and when i accelerate it will jerk like the gas has cut out but it wont stall. It just jerks and slows me down. It only seems to do it when going up a hill. I feel like it could be the fuel pump or possibly some intake gaskets?

temperature sensor only controlls the fan going on and off but nothing to do with the running of the car like staling or not starting though.

if you can check for spark when it wont start and fuel pressure and the service port , would be great information , otherwise pattern failure is ignition module and crank sensor (replace them as a set) , after cools off it will run again.

best thing is to put a diagnostic comp and check for any faults!! could be somethin simple like plugs and leads

Change intake gaskets you will find it blown thats why your problem happens when your engine is warm the alum. intake warms up and expands opening the blown gasket
