Have a renault clio 2002 1.2 The passenger well is very wet and have checked but cant see any issues with seals. today the engine starts to overheat and the water in the resevoir needs about 3 pints

the most likely causes are cam cover seal. camshaft seals or the front cover/crankshaft oil seal the only way is to clean it all off ie a jet wash or solvent then run until you can see the relevant area. the most leaks in that area are caused by the camshaft oil seals on that engine

Time to trouble shoot..........
- Does the wet only happen when it is raining or when you wash the car? Possible windshield seal problem.
- Does the wet smell like anti-freeze or engine coolant (Heater core)
- Where does the dog lie after it has been swimming?

Take out oil cap. Have someone swing engine check if cams turning. If not cambelt snapped.

Hi, check the relays underneath the glovebox on he passenger side are all the way in, theses can come loose and cause the dipped beam to cut in and out. Or grab the black multi plug on the uch unit and move it to see if the fault occurs, if so a new uch is required

check fuel presure

wiring connector going to injection unit on right side of engine disconnect it clean terminals with screwdriver and sand paper wet and dry preferabely once this is done spray connectors ,reconnect it and joddle the all other electrical connections on engine spray all with wd40 once this is done the car will start you could try starting car after each connection worked on common fault on these cars also if its a immobiliser fault reset sequence as follows remove key from ign lock up car holding key in locked position count to 30 seconds then unlock car,put key in the ignition to third position( ie key position before starter is engaged) wait 20 seconds then remove key reinsert and car will start if not go through sequence again

hahaha you having a laugh here ,RENAULT ---- immobilisor encrypted software ECU sealed and you break it to get it apart ,now the older renault clios can be turned off if you have a key that works ,you start engine and cut third wire along on the box behind the kicker plate drivers side ,but no key ? sorry dealer only and its expensive and three weeks for the key to arrive from france when the frogs are not on strike or haveing a day off for something ,then the spanish side of the border with siesta, fiesta ,mana?a ,Cant beat a ford

There is a special sealer tape from RENAULT or get sealer from B&Q and go around the rim between the car roof and the sunroof all the way round
