Question about Hyundai Motor 2000 Tiburon

Open Question

2000 Hyundai Tiburon. Losses power to windows, headlights, wipers, brake lights, heater blower.

Radio, dash lights, running lights , directionals and third brake light still work. This doesn't happen when it's moving. It will be working when I get out of the car, come back later and then nothings working. It has happened twice now. Don't think it's the multifunction switch because I can't find any connection to the blower with that

Turns out it is the ignition switch. After scouring this site I came across it in another post.

Just the change dipstick and the oil in the car and also check if there is any debris in the car as the broken dipstick which may cause damaged to the engine ,You found the problem it was the oil burn which is causing the loss of power ,and also clean the alternator ..

SOURCE: My high level brake light has bruned out,(third brake light). I was informed by the dealer the back window panel has to be removed to replace the 3.00 dollar bulb, total cost 75.00 dollars. With some

replace the bulb...??? This requires you remove the rear package deck (to access the bulb & socket). to do this, remove the seat bottom (two bolts hold the rear seat bottom to the chassis, then remove the bolts which hold the shoulder cushions (LH & RH - 12mm bolts) then remove the cosmetic molding around the trunk access (7 to 8 screws) then remove the "C" pillar covers (SRS curtain airbag LH & RH) to access the rear deck package & access the third brake lamp bulb. replace it, then reassemble.

SOURCE: 2001 Elantra stall, loss of power. Driving at

I am having the exact same problem with my 2001 Hyundai Elantra. I was told that the engine code that comes up when the sensor is on is called "Absolute Pressure In The Manifold". I was told by a "Hyundai Specialist" that when that code comes up it usually means that the seal on the manifold is Fuct. When my mechanic checked that out for me he had noticed that my manifold had 4 cracks in it(can varify cause he showed me). He replaced the manifold and gasket. The car ran fine for about 2-3 days and since then the problem has since come back and my check engine light will no longer go on/off it only stays on. Because of the check engine light always staying on I have noticed that on many occasions my car will hiccup many times in a row. The only way to stop the hiccup I have noticed is to take my foot right of the gas for approx. 2-3 sec then car will continue without hiccup(till it happends all over again). All in all I have been having this problem now for approx. 1 year and if there is somehow someway it could be repaired I would appretiate it.

First off have the battery tested, just because it has enough juice to light the dash and the radio doesn't mean it has the 100 amps needed to run the engine starter motor. Autozone and others do battery testing for free.

Brake lights

Check the bulbs first. If those are good check the brake light fuse. If that is good find the brake light switch under the drivers side of the dash. One wire should have power all the time. There should be a wire that gets power whe you push down on the pedal. If this doesn't happen replace the brake switch.

I have a 2006 is250 lexus push button start and it only starts sometimes....radio, lights, nav everything works but it won't crank....takes 3-4 times before it cranks and it doesn't happen eve

The first thing you want to check for is the brake signal, without this signal it will not crank, this is the easy one make sure you get brake light, the second is to have the starter tested by a direct method, this gives the indication of the health of the starter

Third brake light on constantly, other brake lights seem not to work at all

It sounds like you need a brake light switch. It is mounted under the dash on the pedal assembly. It is easy to change, just twists in place. Good Luck
