Last night I could not get the control panel light to go off or the light on the gear shift to go off. Now this morning the battery is dead. Yesterday I drove approx 200 miles ran some errands and left my dog in the car while I was inside the store. I thought I disabled the alarm system since it didn't go off while she was in there. After the second stop, my remote key quit working, I couldn't lock or unlock the doors with the remote key. When I got home, and tried to lock the door with the key it still didn't work. The key led flashed once or twice slowly, then more rapidly when I tried to lock the car. In addition the control panel light would not go off, or the light on the gear shift. I turned the key off and on the air bag warning light came on, then went off. Lights still wouldn't go off. After reading the manual thinking it might be something with the internal motion sensor, being triggered because of the dog inside the car. I tried everything I could think of but the control panel light never went off, or the light on the gear shifter. Now the battery is dead and I am totally stumped and frustrated. HELP!!!

try this, put the key in the drivers side door then turn the key to open position as th same time lift up the door handle . if this does not work then jack up the car , and with jumper cables hooked them to the starter--red to solinod of starter and the ground to any good ground.then hook the other end to another vehicle.keep in mind all the safety precautions! Then try the door with the key in normal operation.Your battwery is dead.!
