Sounds like you need a new switch ,but ,without testing that would be a guess . Using wiring diagrams an a DMM - digital multi-meter , plus knowledge of how automotive electrical system's work is how a professional auto tech would solve this problem .

SOURCE: 1997 pontiac transam headlight doors motors

i had the same problem, open the hood look by the headlights, just to the side of them you will see knobs. with the lights off turn the knobs (one at a time it is easier), turn it 'till the light come all the way up, do the same for the other then turn the lights on , they should try to go up and the immediately go down. this usually resets the motors to allow the to reach there complete stooping point.

turning left and stalling sounds like your power steering pressure switch is bad.as for other problem try unlocking drivers door using the key this should reset the factory alarm. also make sure you didn't miss a wire when reconnecting bat. look for 12gauge red wire near bat. this goes to computer if not connected car will crank but not start.

SOURCE: Put in new stereo in 2001 Pontiac Sunfire now have no panel

Did you use a special wire harness? GM connected some computer system wiring with the stereo system, so if you replace this, there will be no chime when you open your door with the headlights on or keys in the ignition...and some other warning stuff. This special harness can be bought, but it is expensive (around 80-150$). Go to electronics store and ask for one. Anyways, hope this helps.

SOURCE: No parking lights, fuse keeps blowing.

There is a ground not connected or a wire open that is causing it to blow

Tail lights wont come on keeps blowing fuse blows 10 amp 15 amp and even 5 amp fuses

put a 12 volt light bulb in place of the fuse. It will stay lit until you find the short circuit. Check tail and park light & side marker bulbs first.

How about if you just turn parking lights on, not headligths

Your tail lamps are powered by fuse "F" (20 Amp) in the underhood Power Distribution Center. The same fuse runs your front "Park" lamps.
