Engine light came on, loss of power have been told by Dodge aust that although Warranty states that it covers Factory fitted turbo it doesn't cover the turbo hoses. How do I change these myself?

Dodge nitro Turbo hoses have already been repleced once under warranty. Now Dodge Aust are saying they need to be changed again and although the warranty states clearly that Factory fitted Turbos are covered, they do not cover the hoses fitted to the turbo. How do i change the hoses myself? Or is there an average price through other mechanics that can beat $1050 AUS?

SOURCE: I have a 2008 dodge dakota & the clock says

I had the same problem. The solution was to replace the remote control lock module. the had to reprogram both ignition keys as part of the repair. Sounds crazy but it fixed the problem. The solution was in a Dodge tech bulletin.

SOURCE: I am being told by my warranty provider that the transmission seal is not a covered part. If there is a leak, wouldn't the leak originate at the transmission... which is covered by warranty?

I think thats a bunch of **** if they cover the rear seal then they dam well cover the front seal. That does not make any sense, the trans. has a rear seal and a front seal they are both a part of the transmission.

1997 Dodge Ram 1500 intermittent starting only when check engine light comes on with key pump works o spark what’s wrong

I would check and clean all cable connections at the battery and power distribution box cable and lug and the fuse blades and relays and make sure they fit tight there can be an intermittent power loss from corrosion do all and post back this has to be eliminated so if the problem persists we have covered this part this could be anti theft activating from electrical power loss

How do i repair the vsa unit on a 2006 honda accord?

I found this online. replacing the EGR valve would be a good thing to check as a VSA repair would be really expensive, it doesn't make sense that these should go bad, and it does not seem like it is something you can do yourself.
answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=2009040118264G
'This is going to sound funny, but your problem is not with the VSA. Here's what the dealer is missing in their diagnosis.

the way the Vehicle Stability Assist system works is that when a loss of traction is sensed (when one wheel is spinning faster than the other) then the control for the VSA starts to cut out engine cylinders to reduce the power to the wheel until traction is restored. When the control unit enables the VSA the exclamation point icon comes on and it will stay on until the engine is turned off.

Now for the twist--when the engine has a misfire that causes the engine to lose power then the VSA system "thinks" power is being reduced to restore traction and it puts the exclamation point icon on. So in essence, the VSA is being fooled into thinking that the system is enabled when in reality the problem is one of a reduction of engine power.

I have seen this numerous times on the Accords and Pilots. Almost always the problem is with the EGR valve. That doesn't mean that it is in your case, but my experience is that it usually is. Couple that with the history of EGR valve problems on the Honda V-6 and the the odds are strong that's what your problem is. However, anything that could cause a loss of power or misfire in an engine, such as an ignition coil breaking down or bad fuel could cause this problem.

In most States the things that can cause this problem are covered under a 3 year 50000 mile emissions warranty. I'd ask the dealer to do the diagnosis for an engine misfire and see where that goes.'

Jag x type 2.0Turbo diesel, 2005

Same problem on mine was a block fuel filter (quite common). About £70 fitted by main dealer. I'd stay away from whoever told you the above and get a second opinion!
