PO171 OBD2 Code basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 has detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1. The P0171 is one of the more common trouble codes.

his code is triggered by the first downstream (front) O2 sensor. The sensor provides a reading of the air:fuel ratio leaving the engine's cylinders, and the vehicles powertrain/engine control module (PCM/ECM) uses that reading and adjusts to keep the engine running at that optimum ratio of 14.7:1. If something is not right and the PCM cannot maintain the 14.7:1 ratio, but rather there is too much air, it triggers this code.

Could this mean that the fuel pressure is to low. What should the fuel pressed be.

I know this post is old, but right on the engine theres a sticker that says use multi-ground plugs only. I read a similar problem like yours and it seemed to turn out that the spark was arcing to ground over the ceramic on the plug. So maybe it could have something to do with the single ground plugs.

SOURCE: how to erase toyota camry code obd 1

Hello, and welcome to FIxYa.

To erase the check engine light on a 1994 Camry, open the hood, and, in the engine compartment fuse box, remove the blue 15 amp EFI fuse for one minute. This will clear the codes. If you have a hard code; ie a malfunctioning sensor, the light will come right back on.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.

SOURCE: trouble codes PO300, PO302, PO304,PO306,PO308

If you get
P0300
P0301
P0302
P0303
P0304
P0305
P0306
P0307
P0308

error codes and
you have an engine that misfires or runs rough, it can be the injector for that
cylinder or the coil pack. The P0300 code is a random misfire code and may or
may not be the above. All the other messages are for misfire of a particular
cylinder indicated by the last digit.

Test the coil pack by switching it to another spark plug and
see if the problem follows to that cylinder.

If that makes no difference, it is very likely the injector.
Disconnect the injector connector of the same cylinder and measure the
resistance. It should be 13.5 to 14.2 ohms at 70 degrees temp. It can be up to
16 ohms if the engine is hot. If you see a really high resistance or an open or
short then you can try to change the injector. If not, you can remove the fuel
rail on that side and switch the injector to another cylinder and see if the
problem follows to that cylinder.

You
need a 22mm wrench to remove the fuel pressure regulator. The other connections
are std. When all screws are removed, GENTLY wiggle the rail up and guide it
smoothly out. Don't put any sideward stress on the injector bodies.

Here is how to identify cylinders

Front of vehicle ^

1........2
3........4
5........6
7........8

All of the
injector connectors have a Black with red stripe wire. The corresponding other
wire color on the injector connector that matches with above are

red.........................white
green......................Red/black stripe
blue........................yellow
blue/red
stripe..........Red/white stripe

2003 acura tl error codes po301 po302 po304 po306 p1399 po300

PO300 and P1399 are random cylinder misfire detected.
PO301 cylinder 1 misfire
PO302 cylinder 2 misfire
PO304 cylinder 4 misfire
PO306 cylinder 6 misfire
I would say that you have damage to the ignition wiring harness or you ECM is failing.

2001 grand Cherokee. Code P0300

po300 is a random misfire, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-firing, nor why. If it was a po302 this means its #2 cylinder thats misfiring,ETC, But po300 could be any one of the cylinders. check plugs, wires, fuel injectors, Etc. Good-Day!

2004 f150 5.4l dtc po171 and po302

po302 is engine missfire on #1 cylinder, this engine is bad on ignition coils going bad, don't try removing spark plugs because they will break off in cylinder head and then you have a big problem, p0171 is a lean condition, possible bad oxygen sensor

Why is my 1997 expedition showing a misfire on number 2 cylinder OBD code PO302. Also I am getting code readings PO174 andPO171 system to lean on Bank 1and 2

PO302 is being a misfire, could mean the plug is bad or the coil is bad for that cylinder. Which can give you the misfire reading and the system to lean codes. Check the #2 coil for firing.
