Electrical Problem 1994 Buick Lesabre

I have a 1994 Buick Lesabre and the radio and interior lights don't work. I tried replacing the fuse under the dash, but the fuse shorts out as soon as it makes contact. Also, all the lights are illuminated on the heater / AC control and cannot be adjusted, yet the heat still works. I just replaced the alternator, starter and battery and didn't know if this could have anything to do with the problem. I also tried to check the fuse box under the hood, but there is no diagram or chart as to the fuses uses and positions. Any suggestions?

Yes, I found the owner's manual fuse box diagram but the underhood maxifuse relay center chart which is supposed to be on the inside cover is not there.

GM usually puts the Fuse Diagram in the Back of the Owners Manual.

We have a 1992 Buick Lesabre and the interior courtesy lights do not work.

One light...I'd check the bulb.
All the lights...I'd check the circuit by seeing if a fuse was blown.
Normally, a 10A fuse in the fuse block under the dash controls these lights...

Hope this helps...

Electrical issue

It might be a electrical wire shorting or bad.

I had solved a majority of my problems by getting my electrical system looked at (turned out a brake wire was bad, and several needed to be replaced.)
