Peugeot 206 Cooling fan always on.. ?

My cooling fan is permanently on when I start the car, and gauge on Dash goes to Red too as soon as car is started. (It is NOT overheating, no loss in performance, no leaks) Its a 206LX 1.4 petrol 2002 I suspect the coolant temp sensor, sensors? If so are they easy to replace DIY and where can I get them?

Yes, it's an easy replacement. Just put a wrench or socket on it and unscrew it. Get a replacement at the dealer, or any parts store should have it or could order it for you. Usae a wrap of teflon tape (or plumber's putty) on the threads of the new unit to prevent leaks.
Location varies, but it will be on top of the engine in a coolant passage. Check around the thermostat housing.

Peugeot 206 temp gauge issue

Make sure the coolant level is correct. If it is, could be a bad water pump or a clogged radiator. Check the radiator to see if it looks like the inside has a lot of scale and deposits. Remove some coolant if necessary. If the radiator looks relatively clean , could be a bad pump.

How to replace cooling fan on peugeot 206

The cooling fan on the peugeot 206 is situated between the front grille and ththe radiator, To gail access to the fan you first need to remove the 4 push/pin fixings that hold the upper grille panel ,then remove the 2 torx screws from either end of the upper panel (one at each end. Next the lower grille panel needs to be removed by disengaging each end from just below the headlights, these ends are held in place by clips ,and care must be taken when pulling the lower grill from these clips.Once you have both upper and liwer grille removed ,it a simple matter of unplugging the fan connector ,and removing the 3 fixing bolts , the fan can then be removed ,

I have a Peugeot 206 1400cc and I seem to have a problem with the cooling fan. As the car moves cooling fan comes on and temperature gauge goes to red and the stop sign appears. Then slowly the gauge goes...

firstly you need to check the coolant level and make sure there are no air bubbles in the cooling circuit
secondly the thermostat could be damaged and stays in the closed position
thirdly the cooling radiator could be clogged and it must be flushed or replaced
you have to take into accont that it could be a faulty message sent by faulty temperature sensor or bad connector of the senser
so you need to open the hood and decide, is the engine very hot or is it normal but still the fan is on

Where is the air con relay located - 2000 Peugeot 206 1.6 petrol

if you mean the one thay controls the cooling fan then there is 2 of them located at the front of the car next to the cooling fan. these are probably behind a cover and are green in colour and have 5 pins and the wiring usually corrodes where it goes in to the plugs

Engine cooling fan not cutting in Peugeot 206 2002 Cooling fan and motor have been replaced with main dealer parts

Try the cooling fan switch, it looks like a large brass nut with wires on it on the thermostat housing or radiator.
To test, pull off the wires and connect together, turn on ignition and the fans should cut in.
If they don't it could be the relay, fuse or broken wire.
The switch is easy to replace, unscrew and rescrew in the new one. Connect the wires, not important which way the wires go, and refill coolant.
