This is your vehicles maintence minder system letting you know you are 100 miles over due for an oil change. If you had an oil change performed recently and they did not reset the maintenece minder go off the rec. mileage sticker on the windshield. In answer to your question code A is the main code for an oil service. Often times the main letter codes will be followed by sub-codes that will appear as numbers following the letter. Exp.. A-1, B-1, B-2... The Dealership can clarify what each series of codes and sub-codes means in regards to the needed service. Best piece of advice when the maintenence minder hits 15% oil life remaining bring the car in for service. And check the oil at least once a month.

SOURCE: Oil Light stays on.

it sounds like a faulty sending unit the only way to know for sure is to install a mechanical gauge and measure pressure. or just replace the sender. it is not wise to drive it and just assume it is nothing major. if it is a mechanical problem will cost a lot more if you lock the engine up

SOURCE: Acura TSX 2005 radio code

I had the same problem when I had my battery replaced. I guess the mechanic tried to enter the code.... and after 10 tries he failed of course, and the system locked itself and gave the ERROR message.
All you need to do is leave the system on for an hour (Yes, leave it on... meaning you most likely need to drive around for an hour... and sit in the car for an hour doing nothing....) Then the ERROR message will change back to CODE (you will hear a long beep)
Now you can enter your code. Remember do it slowly. Enter the key 1 by 1... Do not input quickly, otherwise it will not work
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Burns through 1 quart of oil every 2000 miles.

After checking out alot of Honda/Acura forums I'm finding that many owners experience the same problem you are having. The best explanation I found was at 2carpros:
http://www.2carpros.com/forum/94-acura-legend-burning-oil-vt7734.html
From what I'm reading, only way to stop the oil loss is a new engine. If your car is running fine, I'd hesitate to change anything with the engine and stock up on oil.

My 2006 Acura TSX has issues with the fuel gauge. 1) Takes about 15 minutes after the car is filled up to fully register. 2) Number of miles to drive based on gallons left always reads 0.

Intermittent issue of the gauge normally cause by the fuel sending unit going bad. It easy to fix if you don't mind getting dirty or had the experience working on car you will need some tools and maybe another hand to help you out, also of course new parts

I have a 2004 Acura TSX that I just had maintenance work done on two weeks ago, and I was driving it yesterday and it made a irregular "clicking" noise, and then stopped after about 10 sec. and starte

only clickin i can think of that would make idling erratic is the timing has become out. and the pistons are hitting the valves. this would click or tap and eventually go bang. would not recommend reving or driving it till the timing has been checked.

My ACURA TSX has 42,000 miles. The dealer says I need service to the tune of $550. I find this hard to believe. The car has no problems and I don't drive it rough. I would love some advice on this!...

Don't take it to them.

At only 42000 miles, there shouldn't be anything on the vehicle nearing that cost even to replace.

For service under a regularly scheduled maintenance, a tire rotation, new oil, spark plugs, brake cleaning, all fluids including the transmission, and even throw in all new exterior lighting...wouldn't cost nearly 550 dollars.

How to fix acura tsx 2008 car remote key. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I would take it apart and try a new battery. Make sure there is no corrosion on the contacts where the battery sits. If that doesn't fix it time for a new remote. Unless you have a bunch of miles on it it may still be under warranty. See your Acura dealer.

I owned a 2005 TSX. They are great cars!

Acura tsx 2005 check engine on, do i absolutely need to pass the computer test (100$) to know what's going on???

You could disconnect the battery for two minutes, reconnect - and see if the engine light is out. If not, go to Checker Auto Parts and they'll run a free diagnostic for you. Then you'll know what the problem (part) is.
