There are several panels in the trunk. Open the one panel closest to the bulb you have to replace.
Most bulbs you have to push in and twist counter clockwise to remove it.

Usually that fast blink is a good warning that one of the signals is out. Double checked that bulb is same # and all that ? What number is on the bulb? if it's 2057 or 3057, try pulling wires on side of bulb with fingernail, outward to make better contact, to see if that helps.

Raise tailgate. Pry under head of fastner with flat bladed small screw driver. Otherside hook shaped, In rubber grommet. Roll away from fastner side.Disengage red lock tab then press release tab.
