It's probably WATER coming out of the exhaust as that's the result of the engine running...not a problem.

Gas gauge is separate from the pump....usually. It could be a fuse (look in the Owner's Manual for fuse location) or the fuel 'sender' which is what measures the fuel level. This is usually IN the fuel tank. Sorry I don't know where it is on your Rodeo..

Search online - Google it - for fuel sender. Remember, your Rodeo is the same as the Honda Passport for the '94-2002 model years so search under the Passport too.

I think I know what you are asking; This is called a rear wheel drive vehicle and uses a differential which IS the axle or "rear end" (because it is in the rear end of the vehicle). What a differential is is simply a set of gears that obviously drive the rear wheels but, when you turn a corner the wheel speed changes. One will be going faster than the other depending on which way you turn. This gear set by design, allows the different speeds to not be noticed by the driver and not wear down tyres or break components. Pretty cool huh?! Axle bearing and seal are made together. It is pressed on axle.

the abs module could be the problem but they also had common problem with rear speed sensor harness breaking at the connector by the front of the left rear wheel

its the sending unit located on top of the gas tank , have to drop the tank and replace-cheapest on ebay ! good luck had the same problem a year ago on my 01 passport/rodeo
