first make sure you don't have white smoke coming out of tail pipe then check the radiator if it is cold after warmed up then you could go to the two main hose coming from the radiator be careful one could be hot follow the cold one ie water pump thermostat head gasket are as easy as a radiator cap good luck
a sticking thermostat will cause the heat to be cold, that bleeder screw is to help purge the air out of the cooling system, when you add coolant to the radiator loosen this screw a bit and it will let the air out of the system, loosen the screw and add water until you get just water coming out, not bubbles, if it has bubbles coming out all the air isnt out of the system, try this first before replacing thermostat as air in the system will have an effect on the system
I would have the heater core checked. It could be something as simple as a fuse but unlikely. not likely to be the thermostat as that would make the car overheat if it wasnt working.
Two things . 1 - Make sure your antifreeze level is correct and 2- when at idle 6-700 RPM these cars do tend not to blow a lot of warm air. If this doesn't help you might want to try a new thermostat.
