Have shop inspect first alignment and or possible bad front end parts--alignment can be off from hitting curb or other reasons.

SOURCE: 98 ford eddie bauer expedition front tires toed out

bo_ronan,
Front end work can be tricky and should be done by a certified mechanic, there are a number of possibilities here,if it is a "toe out" problem this could be caused by worn tie rod ends or control arm bushings but this may also be a camber problem however camber usually affects one wheel.Camber can be caused by a bent spindle, mislocated strut tower, bent strut, worn or collapsed control arm bushing, bent control arm or a weak or broken spring. If any of these parts are replaced, camber should be checked and adjusted as needed after the parts have been installed.I hope this helps you, good luck.

SOURCE: Both rear tires are wearing on the inside.

Two possiblities:
1. Tires were rotated not long ago, so they were in the front. Alignment problem.
2. Some vehicles do have rear adjustment for Alignments. Basically like the front, the rear end can be adjusted also. They call this a 4-wheel alignment. The alignments that are adjustable only in the front is called a thrust alignment.

Ok if its wearing on the inside its toe in. If it's on the outside its toe out. I think you can adjust the toe in & out. look under it. and e-mail me. if you need more info.

Strange.
Has anyone checked the front end alignment on a rack ?
Usually when the tires wear on the inside edges the camber is off and the tires are running on the inside edge more than the outside.
Or the front suspension is too low or heavy.

Will bad front ball joints cause excess wear and tear on my front tires?

I vote yes. Any worn component of the front end be it ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, even tire balance will adversely affect tire wear.

Nick, I did have a rod kit put in my 2008 Chev. Impala. The service guy just looked at it and said that was the problem. Wear on the inside of the tires.

When ever front end work is done, front end needs to be realign, the wear your getting is call toe wear, mean tire's are pointing out, and will wear tire's on inside edge, have it realign and that will take care of your tire wear problem.

Tires wearing inside on 2008 Impala LT

this is a wheel camber (in and out tilt of wheel and tire) problem, u may have to have a Camber adjustment kit put in, most new cars have no adjustment provided for this. the bottom line here is you need to see a really good front end shop to get this taken care of, also the tires will continue to wear this way even if problem is corrected, so may want to replace them or rotate them.

Left front tire wears out since the car was new

If it's choppy the tire is bouncing up and down. Either the tire is not balanced correctly or something is wrong with the shock or spring.
