bo_ronan,
Front end work can be tricky and should be done by a certified mechanic, there are a number of possibilities here,if it is a "toe out" problem this could be caused by worn tie rod ends or control arm bushings but this may also be a camber problem however camber usually affects one wheel.Camber can be caused by a bent spindle,
mislocated strut tower, bent strut, worn or collapsed control arm
bushing, bent control arm or a weak or broken spring. If any of these
parts are replaced, camber should be checked and adjusted as needed
after the parts have been installed.I hope this helps you, good luck.
SOURCE: front end alignment
sorry no diy, truck needs front end alignment the camber is way off thats why you are only wearing the inside of the tire
SOURCE: Both rear tires are wearing on the inside.
Two possiblities:
1. Tires were rotated not long ago, so they were in the front. Alignment problem.
2. Some vehicles do have rear adjustment for Alignments. Basically like the front, the rear end can be adjusted also. They call this a 4-wheel alignment. The alignments that are adjustable only in the front is called a thrust alignment.
SOURCE: I have the inside edge of my front tires wearing
Ok if its wearing on the inside its toe in. If it's on the outside its toe out. I think you can adjust the toe in & out. look under it. and e-mail me. if you need more info.
hope this is helpful to you.
