Pull-down does'nt work but the motor does

I would be guessing,(we do that a lot)
that the driver door sw is a master & thus
neither works

When you do voltage drops-- have the alternator
running, so you have a more stable voltage

With the ignition and fan switches turned on check for power at fan motor.If you have power at the motor then wiggle and maybe pull on the blower motor resistor and if fan comes on just fix the connection.But when you check for power at the blower motor and don't have power then check the fan relay if it does'nt click when you turn it on then its faulty.

check for battery voltages then if it is 12 v above pull out the the power window motor and test directly to the battery f the motor is working f it is working check for power supply maybe fuse blown or the main switch is malfunctioning!

First try this turn ignition and fan switches on then pull and wiggle on the wire connector going to the blower motor resistor.These pigtails get very hot and usally melt causing it to loose its connection.The blower motor resistor is usally mounted on the heat duct on passenger side with 2 screws.You should be able pick one up at your local autoparts store but,if you can'nt then you can get one from www.rockauto.com.

If your fan is'nt working its more than likely the blower motor resistor has a bad connection.Turn the ignition and fan switches on then pull on and wiggle the connector going to the blower motor resistor it should start working.Its located on the passenger side of the heat duct and has 2 screws that mount it to the heat duct.These resistors get very hot and melt the pigtail causing it to loose their connection.

You can always close the top by pulling it up by hand. It pulls hard but you can pull it up and it might require two peaple, and then latch it down. Fuses fail to connect in the fuse panel and the switchs fail as do the motor in the pump that makes the top move. Your right also that if the car doesn't sense that the e= brake isn't on or the is'nt moving it'll not work the top either. Many fuses have to be good for all the systems that interlock the top to work the most common fuse to blow is the cigar lighter fuse as peaple plug in things that short out oftern.

It may be a bad Power Window Switch, if the Power Window Motor goes up and down when you ran power leads to it but doesn't work with the switch, than the switch is bad. Replace the power window switch and it should work fine.

Check fan relay.Turn heater and fan on turn ignition to on position then pull up on fan relay if does'nt click replace relay.

There's a switch ( kinda same shape, color & operation method as your power seat switches) behind driver's seat near the 2 Boot/Top 'release' pull tabs,, it's mounted on the "roof" of the open compartment area behind the seats. Slide your hand along there til you feel it. It recycles the pull-down motor up & down & should release the top. Also try in the trunck, there's 2 hard plastic strings with loops at end,, pull & see if it releases it.
